MY TOP 3 FAVORITE COLORS:
Pink.
Reminds me of my childhood favorites during the 80's: Hello Kitty, My Melody, Barbie dolls, pink dresses, pink bubble gums....
But I realize there's something more bout pink when I began reading about chromotherapy. According to many articles I've read, Pink is a soothing, comforting and calming color. That is why this color is even used to calm violent prisoners in jails or hospitals dealing with mental illness. It also says that there is a general belief that is supported by color therapists that pink awakens in them feelings of compassion, love and purity. That's when I decided to paint my bedroom walls PINK. I think we all need something that will sooth us or calm us after a stressful day.
Purple.
Just like Pink, Purple is soothing and calming to mind and nerves and has tranquilizing effect.

Just like Pink, Purple is soothing and calming to mind and nerves and has tranquilizing effect.
It also helps develop a person's spiritual and intuitive side thus according to one article, Leonardo da Vinci proclaimed that if you want to increase the power of meditation ten-fold you can do this by meditating under the gentle rays of Violet, as found in Church windows.
It is also the color of royalty. Purple connotes luxury, wealth, and sophistication.
Purple is also a color that has uplifting effect and encourages creativity. That is why this color is often well liked by very creative or eccentric types and is the favorite color of adolescent girls.
Green.
Green is the color of Nature and the earth. Currently it is the most popular decorating color as green symbolizes nature. It is the easiest color on the eye and can improve vision. It is soothing, calming and offers a sense of renewal, self-control and harmony. Most hospitals often use green because it relaxes patients and helps alleviate depression, nervousness and anxiety.
The natural greens, from forest to lime, are seen as tranquil and refreshing. Green reminds me of Zen gardens, green tea, olive oil, eucalyptus and Andes mint chocolate (my favorite) !
